BC Drop Shot reaches a new record with 288 players...

"It just keeps getting crazier," said our tournament director this morning. Our Badminton Club Drop Shot has already attracted 288 players for the 11th edition of the Grand Prix | Master Finals tournament, which means we will play over 515 matches in a single weekend. An absolute record!

Even in a time when the popularity of badminton is declining or remaining stable, BC Drop Shot is growing against all odds. In members and activities! This once again proves that badminton is a sport that is alive and growing, especially at BC Drop Shot. And it makes sense: racket sport players demonstrably live longer and maintain better brain function at an older age (thanks to the coordinated interplay of arms and legs).

This milestone is not only due to the passion of our members, but is above all a big shout out to our volunteers. With tireless dedication, they commit themselves to our successful tournaments and the many other activities. Together with that dedication and the invaluable support of our involved sponsors, we are the vibrant club we are today, with activities for all levels, from top players to recreational ones.

The weekend of May 25 and 26 promises to be a fantastically well-attended event, where the top players of the Netherlands will compete against each other, but where there is also plenty of room for players of all levels to take up the challenge.
