During the General Members' Meeting on March 31, Robert Hoogland handed over the chairmanship of BC Drop Shot to Georgy Sonneville, after more than four years of leadership.

BC Drop Shot is proud and excited to welcome Noah Jongen as the newest addition to our first team! With this reinforcement, BC Drop Shot is once again taking a big step towards competing for the prizes in the coming season.

With pride and enthusiasm, BC Drop Shot announces the arrival of Amy Tan as a player for the first team. Amy is the long-awaited and much-needed reinforcement that both the board and the technical staff have eagerly anticipated.

We are heading into the coming season with a hugely strengthened team! 💪💥 But first: our core group remains intact, and we are incredibly proud of that!

For the 12th time, BC Drop Shot is organizing its Grand Prix tournament, and this edition is once again combined with the Master Finals, powered by Badminton Netherlands.

BC Drop Shot wins the final match against VELO and thus concludes the 2024-2025 premier league season with an (unexpected) victory. What was also unexpected was the huge turnout from the audience.

Badminton icon and coach of BC Drop Shot has passed away

As of September 1st, the technical staff of BC Drop Shot will be strengthened by head coach Paul de Graaf. In view of developments within the club, BC Drop Shot is further investing in quality within its technical policy.

The board of Badminton Club Drop Shot announces that, after a successful collaboration, the partnership with coach and player Dicky Palyama has ended. Palyama, an icon in the Dutch badminton world, made a significant contribution to the growth and achievements of the club.

This summer, BC Drop Shot is the place to be! In June, July, and August, you can enjoy 'summer badminton' up to 4 evenings a week.

Kelly van Buiten will also remain connected to BC Drop Shot. Premier League team almost complete!

"It just keeps getting crazier," said our tournament director this morning. Our Badminton Club Drop Shot has already attracted 288 players for the 11th edition of the Grand Prix | Master Finals tournament, which means we will play over 515 matches in a single weekend. An absolute record!

On May 1st, Team 4 officially qualified for the final day of the Dataweb Badminton Cup 2024. On Saturday, May 18th, eight teams will compete in two different categories at BC Drop Shot in The Hague for the coveted trophy!

April is a great month for BC Drop Shot. Iris van Leijsen has also signed on for another season.

The first team of BC Drop Shot is gradually taking more shape. Novi Wieland, now a key player, is also committing to the club for another season.

Lars Kros will remain with BC Drop Shot in 2024-2025. BC Drop Shot is very pleased with the loyalty of Lars Kros. Kros, who has been associated with the Hague club for several seasons, has now become a key player.

During the exceptionally pleasant General Members' Meeting on April 8, 2024, the treasurer was discharged and bid farewell, and the candidate treasurer was installed by acclamation. 

Nick Fransman has decided to stay with BC Drop Shot for another season. The 2024-2025 season will be another one to enjoy. 

Timo Stoffelen, a so-called S-1 player who trains through the National program at Papendal, will strengthen the first team of BC Drop Shot next year. 

Last weekend, the Dutch Veterans Championships were held in Amersfoort. Several Dropshot players managed to win (yet again) gold and silver medals!

BC Drop Shot has secured third place in the premier division badminton by winning their last match. This position grants the right to play in two semi-finals for the Dutch championship.  

After a short break, we will resume the competition this coming weekend. Good luck to all our teams; for some teams, every point is extremely important. We will also see Team 1 playing at home again, this time against Roosterse.

BC Drop Shot has focused more strongly on youth development in recent years, and that is paying off.  4 youth teams are in first place!

At BC Drop Shot, we have a few top players among the veterans. Two of them have been selected and will leave for the World Veterans Championships in South Korea on September 5th. 

The annual training day of BC Drop Shot was once again a great mix of training, fun, and getting to know each other (even) better.

Drop Shotter Meike de Kraa is now officially a participant in the European Para Badminton Championship in Ahoy Rotterdam. Fantastic that all the hard work has paid off.

On Sunday, August 27, BC Drop Shot is organizing its annual training day for all competition players. A day filled with fun training activities and 'connection'.

With the arrival of Kelly van Buiten, BC Drop Shot has completed its main squad for the coming season.

The Final of the Dutch Championships for Competition Teams (NKC) became a tremendous success for team 8 on Saturday, July 1st. They became champions of the Netherlands! The youth teams JX 4 and JX 6 finished third and fourth, respectively.

It's time for summer badminton again. BC Drop Shot offers plenty of playing opportunities during the summer months at attractive rates and even better subscription deals. 

Recently, a list was published featuring the top 15 badminton tournaments in the Netherlands. BC Drop Shot earned impressive positions: 2, 3, and 7.

Over 10 years ago, the first edition of the Grand Prix Tournament was created as a celebration of the 65th anniversary of BC Drop Shot. Thanks to the enthusiasm of many badminton players, this tournament has now become a fixture and has been expanded with the Master Finals. How does it work again and why you should sign up today.

Welcome to this General Members' Meeting (ALV). We have two ALVs per year. This one, usually at the beginning of the year, focuses on the Annual Accounts. The other, in the summer, is more about policy and budgeting. That ALV looks ahead, while this ALV looks back, specifically at the 2021-2022 season. It’s good that you are here, because as you know, the members form the highest authority within an association.

On January 7, 2023, it’s time for the traditional and super fun BC Drop Shot Winter Tournament. The tournament is now full! Of course, you are very welcome to come and watch, cheer on the players, and maybe share your New Year’s wishes!

After a lot of preparations, the moment had finally arrived. On October 1, 2022, BC Drop Shot celebrated its 75th anniversary. A wonderful afternoon and evening and the start of a fantastic anniversary year.

On the day that BC Drop Shot celebrated its 75th anniversary, they also had to play against local rival VELO, with title contender Almere visiting a day later.

Yesterday was the last training day before the competition starts again on the Dutch badminton fields.

On September 3rd it was training day at Bc Drop Shot. A very successful training day with 35 participants.

On June the 6th an involved group of people from BC Drop Shot came together, supplemented by some inspiring speakers such as the chairman of Badminton Netherlands and the chairman of the Swiss Federation, with a seat in the European and world federation. The goal: inspire and explore direction for BC Drop Shot in 2027.

We look back on a super successful Grand Prix tournament. Already the 9th edition with great matches and many badminton fans.

We are fully open again. Indoor sports are allowed again. We are really happy

Due to the measures, sports halls are only open until 17:00. For many badminton players this means that the training sessions are partially canceled or are often no longer possible at all. That is why, together with one of our sponsors Physiopraktijk Rijswijk, we offer an alternative program for at home or at the gym.

The morning training sessions that we use because of the evening lock down have been registered far beyond expectations.

The new Corona measures have been announced with significant impact on our sport for the coming three weeks.The most important measure implies that everything is closed between 5PM and 5 AM (except super markets).

Stricter corona measures were announced during the press conference on 12 November.

On Saturday, November 6, BC Amersfoort was the opponent of BC Drop Shot. Including this match, there are still 2 duels to go until the end of the first phase and the higher the position in the ranking, the more points are taken towards the second phase.

Het weekend van 2 en 3 oktober was het eerste dubbelweekend van de eredivisie badminton. Voor BC Drop Shot stonden, op papier, twee topwedstrijden op het programma.

On Saturday September 18, the Drop Shot caravan headed for Limburg for the far away game against Roosterse BC. Roosterse had won a big win against AMOR and can build on a solid team

After almost a year without league games, all Eredivisie teams were eager to start the new competition. The slightly modified Drop Shot took on Smashing from Wychen on September 11. Fortunately, there was also an audience along the field, which adds a bit more atmosphere to such a match.

On Friday, August 27, Bc Drop Shot held its GMM. There was, among other things, a challenging budget to discuss, re-elections and an expansion of the board.

The hall is neat. We are ready to play.

Bc Drop Shot also provides a BootCamp for adult players

Thursday, April 29, 16 youth members were impatiently excited for their first boot camp.

Our own team 1 player Dicky Palijama is the new sports coordinator badminton The Hague. For Bc Drop Shot we are going to develop projects that Dicky will help us with. Dicky will start on May 1.

Join the BAD BOOTCAMP. That is outside sports in groups of 4 people with a distance of 1.5 meters. Training focuses on general fitness and of course specific 'badminton moves'.

A bit strange, but the time is ticking. A new competition season is imminent. And yes that means that we would like to know if you will participate in the competition again
